The Vision:

"We drew upon the experience from our own family music studio in order to include the basic organizational structure and labels of several well-known educational systems for the performing arts, such as Suzuki® violin and Music for Young Children®. "

A tempo: Past, Present, and Future

A tempo has been available since the year 2000. It began as an effort to meet the needs of the McEntires' studio in Hanover, Virginia, and was offered as a solution for some other brave teachers willing to try out a new software.

With feedback from those first users, A tempo was improved upon, so that over the past 12 years, it has become a stable and feature-rich management software. Multiple revisions have helped to improve and enhance the software, so that now four editions are available. This makes A tempo ideal for the individual teacher, the medium-sized studio, and the large studio with multiple rooms or buildings and a large faculty.

The future is bright. Several projects are in the works for add-ons to A tempo. Some of these projects you might be able to imagine, and others will probably be a surprise to almost everyone. But, we're not telling, yet.
